The annual grant bucket is comprised of each woman’s $1,000 contribution, and our goal is for 100 women come together so that we may give a grant of $100,000 each year to local nonprofits here on Long Island. As our chapter grows, we will provide grants to nonprofits in each focus area highlighted above.

Each woman has one vote, regardless of whether she contributes more than $1,000, which keeps our organization fair and equal. If our chapter isn’t able to collect $100,000, incremental grants will be given to one or two of the focus areas after a thorough grant review process. The grant categories and amounts are announced at the spring “Big Reveal” event that kicks off our grant cycle.

The next step is the rigorous grant review process, where our Grant Review committee painstakingly reviews each application, followed by a chapter vote on the finalists, and the grants awarded at our premier event, the “Big Give.”
